Nice local spot. Great service. Was surprised at how long the wait was for a local restaurant but I think it says something about the place being worth the wait (it was!)

Came here a few minutes after they opened for dinner hours and was seated right away at the sushi bar. There were a few tables seated already. I got a sake flight and the omakase. The sake flight was a nice mix of dry and sweet sake. The omakase was amazing! The sauces, the textures, the freshness. So good. It was the perfect amount for one person. The little Pringles appetizer, the ceviche tostada, and the baby scallop on cucumber were my favorites. The sashimi was so fresh and perfectly lightly seasoned. The total was around $80 before tip. Would come back to try everything again.

Best sushi in town. Every time I have dined in here I've had the best experience, food, and drinks. They have delicious appetizers, including the pepperfin, and their main rolls are delicious as well. My favorite is the SJ all day, playing lobster, and Max Payne Love coming here!!!

We're back again! This place is so great. The sushi is creative and different than all the other boring options. For being so busy they're great at organizing and turning tables. The inside of the place has great decor and is a nice place to be. Get here early and be patient, it's totally worth the wait.

Ask and you shall be given. Tang's created a mouthwatering surf n turf roll for me: lobster roll, rib eye and savory sauce. It was heaven with each bite!

Amazing sushi... so delish and perfected. The BBQ albacore tuna is outstanding! The best I've ever had and we eat allot of sushi!! Seared Smokey taste and warm on the outside while raw on the inside and the sauce is out of this world- flavor town!! I've tried many other sushi places and this place is always the best! Also had the lobster roll and the dragon roll, both so delish!! Always a go to

Started coming here ago when I found out chef Brandon still works here. Talented young man with great skills and creativity! Always busy so I do take out. Atmosphere is very lively and services always top notch. Fish always fresh and yummy...lol. Go check it out and you wont be disappointed

I just can't say enough about Tangs! They consistently hit the mark in both food and service. They literally never miss. Obviously you have to get the chips! Just be careful not to get too full because they are so good! The scallop shooter is a perfect way to kick off your night. Then you absolutely must get the pepperfin!! I don't know wear they get their fish but oh my goodness it is fresh and just melts in your mouth. We love the Fendi roll and get it every time. We tried the Blossom two which is new favorite of mine so much flavor and texture. Bryan was our server that night he was accommodating, friendly, and fun! Service was a 10/10!! If you are in Sacramento it's worth the drive to Roseville for sure. You won't regret it. If you're local then I am just jealous I would be here at least twice a week if I could. Did I mentioned this is family owned by the nicest family?! Enjoy Yelpers!

Finally, after three attempts at getting seats here, we made it. This time we arrived during their opening at 4:30 on a sizzling summer afternoon. I requested to sit by the bar, but the server said it was closed. I noticed later that it was where they were stacking to-go orders. Place got filled up within 30 minutes. Now people are crowding the small waiting area inside (110F out). We started with a cold drink, the Hana Awaka sparkling sake served in a bucket of ice. Perfect for this afternoon. Decided to get 4 items from the appetizer menu. 1. Lobster Chips. First time having this. Impressed at the ingenuity of the fusion of the crunchy chips with the lobster balls. 2. Brodie's Triple Stack. Another first for us. Tuna, salmon and yellowtail piled over spicy crab. 3. BBQ Tuna. 5 pcs for $20. Large morsels of albacore but sadly lacked flavor. Not the best BBQ Tuna we've had. 4. Hamachi Kama. Another large portion. This dish was fried instead of the grilled collars we've had. Decent. Our last dish was the popular Blue Oaks Roll. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really make an impression. At least we've ticked Tang's Sushi off our Roseville list. Probably won't be back. Pros. One-off dishes Cons. Pricey, weak flavors, Unimpressive atmosphere.

I have noticed the quality of food and service has gone down. The rolls come with lots of mayonnase based sauce. One thing I used to love about Tang's is that they do not put too much sauce to mask the freshness of raw fish. Now that is not the case. The appetizer calamari has gone down hill as well. Their pieces are smaller and the quality is not the same. It has very wierd texture now. Even the service was not that good last time. They barely checked on us, and when they did, they forgot to bring the stuff we asked for. There were no soy sauce on the table, and we had to get up and ask for a fork twice for my kid. All the things we should not have to ask for. It is unfortunate to see my favorite place this way. It is still a better place than other sushi places around. But I sure hope they will come back!
